We always strive to go further; this time, we wanted to go higher, beyond the experience we`ve acquired. It`s a challenge that requires two wings to fly. A creative journey of two generations: our founder, Aurelio Montes, and his son, Aurelio Montes, embark on this creative voyage that brings to life a unique Carmenère.

The Itata Valley, located in the Bío Bío Region, 500 km south of Santiago, is a Chilean appellation renowned for its natural beauty and picturesque hillside vineyards. Bordered by the Ñuble and Itata rivers, it stands out for producing varieties such as Muscat of Alexandria, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, País, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cinsault. With over 500 years of history, the name Itata originates from the Mapuche language and means "abundant grazing."
